Rush Edit Policy

Rush editing is designed for fast timelines—not fast fixes.

This option is ideal for authors working on a tight schedule with a clean, revision-ready manuscript. If your draft is polished and you’re working toward a firm deadline, I offer limited rush availability on a case-by-case basis.

  • Rush Rate: $0.020/word

  • Timeline: 14–21 days (depending on word count and manuscript quality)

  • Word Count Limit: Max 80,000 words

  • Availability: Limited; reviewed individually based on schedule and manuscript readiness

Important: Rush edits are only available for manuscripts that require minimal structural changes or sentence-level corrections. If your project needs heavy developmental or line editing, a longer timeline—or a custom quote—may be required to ensure quality.

What’s Not a Fit for Rush Edits

Rush services aren’t available for:

  • First drafts or messy manuscripts

  • Projects that require heavy line edits, rewrites, or major structural overhauls

  • Authors hoping to “fix it in post” (no judgment—we’ve all been there, but that’s not what this service is for)

What I Might Offer Instead

If your manuscript isn’t quite ready for a rush timeline, I may suggest:

  • A longer, adjusted editing timeline

  • A prep round, like a mini developmental review or coaching session

  • A custom quote to reflect the actual time and effort needed

Why This Matters

I won’t rewrite your book under pressure, and I won’t promise results I can’t deliver. Rushed doesn’t mean rushed through. Every edit—whether it’s two months or two weeks—receives the same thoughtful insight, honest feedback, and deep respect for your voice.
